The puzzle you see above is the 3x3x4. Although this is not the actual product (this one was custom-made and the mass-produced version is made by Cube 4 You), this does give you an idea as to what it looks like. It is fully functional but does not shape-shift, and is available for around $20 as a DIY kit (it comes disassembled and the owner must assemble it). Once assembled, it is a very nice puzzle (although it is a bit "dry") and solving intuitively is rather tricky. In general, there are several methods to try when solving: solving as two dominoes beginning with an inner 3x3x2, solving as two dominoes beginning with the outer 3x3x2, solving layer by layer, etc. For more details on solving, see Jaap's Puzzle Page
