In other news, I am attempting to learn the CFOP (AKA Fridrich) method for speedcubing. Once I figure it out, I will add it. A huge time saver that is included in this system is the F2L (First 2 Layers) part. It consists of solving the first two layers simultaneously (after the edge pieces on the first face). A resource that has been very helpful is a book called Speedsolving the Cube by Dan Harris (it has a less advanced method as well as solutions for 4x4 and 5x5). As well, Gentosha will be releasing the Floppy Cube (3x3x1). It is available for pre-order on eBay (but not by me). Rubik's has a new Puzzle called the 360.
